Black lamps

We moved and our new living room was in desperate need of some additional lighting (and I have a soft spot for the floor lamps, table ones are not my thing). We had a random selection of the tall lamps already and it was supplemented by another one I found on adverts for… 8 euro!

As I said – it was a rather random collection. Not to mention I was pretty bored with some of its parts. And I happened to have some black spray paint leftovers, so the result was quite predictable.

The adverts lamp needed very little, a simple bulb replacement (the original massive white ones were beyond terrible, way too big and bright) and covering the shiny white with moody black. A teeny-tiny amount of glitter applied as finishing touch works quite well with the other gold elements.

The other lamp sported brown suede shade on top of silver chrome leg… The shade is now gone completely, I like the oversized industrial-type Ikea bulbs too much to cover them. And black replaced the shiny chrome, obviously.
