Shoe cabinet revived
I just couldn’t stand the look of this pine shoe cabinet any longer. It was either going to the bin or getting a total makeover. Luckily it turned out quite well.
Ingredients:
– one standard pine shoe cabinet from Argos
– Behandla glazing grey paint from Ikea
– Oracal plotter film (white)
– Anchor tapestry wool no. 8720
Instructions:
Disassemble, paint over.
Select a pattern (I decided on something simple and folk-inspired). Stitch (in this case: cross stitch) it to the plotter film without removing the paper from the back. Once the stitching is complete it’s quite easy to remove the backing paper and attach the PVC film to the cabinet (I used it for the drawer only).
Assemble the pieces back together. That’s it 🙂
