Living

It would be a sin not to take every advantage of the big, green, south facing space outside. It’s the first thing to see when entering the space and every opportunity was used to look outside: lounging on the sofa or enjoying morning coffee in the breakfast corner.

I always had a soft spot for benches and dining booths – so there is not a single dining chair in sight and padded benches add colour, doubling up as another reading nook.

The layout was also designed around the need to accommodate hundreds of books. Together with prints and artworks accumulated over the years they now line almost all walls.
